ABOUT ME

Dr. Anthony C.
Jones

Dr. Anthony C. Jones is a strategic leader and retired U.S. Air Force veteran with over two decades of experience leading, advising, and developing organizations in high-stakes, mission-critical environments. His career spans executive leadership, organizational development, and talent strategy, with a disciplined focus on trust, accountability, and excellence.

Dr. Jones earned his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University’s School of Business & Leadership, where his work centered on leadership judgment, organizational culture, complex problem-solving, conflict negotiation, and effective decision-making.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Jones has taught, developed, and advised hundreds of leaders and professionals. He has led teams through transformation and uncertainty and designed high-trust remote and hybrid operating models that maintain accountability, decision quality, and performance.

Through this experience, he has observed how leadership insecurity and poor judgment can quietly diminish talent. He has seen capable individuals overlooked or constrained—not due to a lack of ability, but because those entrusted to lead were unequipped to lead them. These experiences shaped a firm conviction that leadership carries a responsibility to recognize, develop, and protect talent.

FirstWave Talent Strategies was founded to bring that conviction to practice by creating environments where individuals are placed intentionally, evaluated fairly, and positioned to perform, grow, and endure.

Beyond his executive role, Dr. Jones serves as a strategic advisor to a nonprofit organization. He stays actively involved in professional leadership and executive communities and applies his leadership philosophy in youth sports, focusing on discipline, accountability, and character development at the grassroots level.
